2016 Medicine Alumni Reunion Weekend

The USF Health Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) celebrated the milestone anniversary MD classes of 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006 at the annual Alumni Reunion Weekend on October 21 & 22, 2016.  More than 140 alumni and guests were in attendance and had the opportunity to rekindle memories of their time at USF as they mingled with classmates, their former teachers, Alumni Society leadership and Dean Charles Lockwood.   For some, more than 25 years had gone by since graduating and visiting USF!  In addition to local alumni, many attended from out-of-state including - CA, CO, CT, IL, IN, MA, MT, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV and WY.

On Friday, October 21, the Class of 1976 and Emeriti Faculty enjoyed a special reception at the USF Gibbons Alumni Center in honor or their 40th Anniversary.  Soon after, all classes joined them and gathered for the Welcome Dinner!  Hugs, laughter and pictures were shared.  Alumni enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and colleagues over cocktails. At the dinner, Sion “Bill” Carter, MD ’87, Chair of the MCOM Alumni Society welcomed our guests and Charles Lockwood, MD, Senior Vice President, USF Health and Dean of the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine shared news about recent achievements at the medical college along with an update on plans to expand the medical college to downtown Tampa.
